Military School The First Step

Defined Tag: Military School.
Military school, in most cases, is not directly related to any branch of the military but use a simulated military environment of discipline and organization in their whole procedure. Such schools are a phenomenon worldwide and have been set up primarily for providing school education for the children of army personnel. Military school exists in various States in the country and in multiple locations where there is a need of one.
A person educated in such school does not carry a mandatory obligation to join any department of army on graduating. But those who wish to make a career in the military can join any of the military training academies and, in most cases, may get an advantage in merit for being an alumnus of a military school.
In military school, the curriculum has been designed centering on the military way of organization, teamwork, accepting individual responsibility in whatever task one takes in life and the respect for authority. The grooming of children is not only based on academics or intellectual ability alone, but also by promoting good health, correcting aspects like focus and attitude, and by providing a safe and warm environment for one to study, train and live.
The military school curriculum covers academic aspects as in normal schools that include subjects like history, science, math and biology. But beyond that, the curriculum branches out into a broader perspective, to include leadership skills, technology awareness relating to military, first aid, drills and ceremony. In military school, as mandated by the curriculum, the students are taken through extensive drill sessions, exhaustive physical conditioning camps, workshops, training sessions, sometimes on a military base, and basic medical camps. During summer sessions, students may get a chance to try their hands on developing skills like helicopter orientation flights, rifle marksmanship, and water safety instructions or can opt to undergo any personality development or technical short courses.
The admission procedures of military school are generally strict, and students are constantly under the scanner for their overall performance in the campus - both academic and otherwise. In the end, the military school tries to create a person with integrity, social commitment and expertise in his/her subjects of study, potent to serve his/her country at various levels.
A military school can thus be the first step for students aspiring to a career in the armed forces. For others also it can be a rare introduction to the values of our military personnel, and when one eventually graduates, he/she will be a new personality altogether - more responsible, disciplined and focused.
